About Ideas Incorporated
About:
Ideas Incorporated has one simple objective: human expansion into the universe.
It’s about ideas. Sure, you’ll find a lot of art on this site, in many media. But more generally, Ideas Incorporated is about ideas. Ideas that fight base dogma, tired cliche, and the Western gestalt. Standard, entrenched ways of doing things must be overcome. Faith, assumption and blind acceptance make civilization go backward. We want civilization to go forward – to expand – creatively, intellectually and spatially.
We like art that is different, modern and innovative. So we invite friends to put artwork on this site as long as it shows innovative thought processes going on at any stage of the production, whether in the methods or the ideas themselves. We also showcase art that appears in our gallery at 1081 Bathurst St. in Toronto.
Ideas Incorporated encourages recycling and re-use. New uses for old products. Recycled art. Sound environmental policy.
We’ll write about a new hydrogen/solar based energy economy. And terraforming Mars so people can live there. Robots covering deserts with solar panels. Giant solar energy collectors at the Lagrangian points. Dyson spheres.
We need to convince people of the merit of these ideas, and we don’t have a political forum in which to do so. But art provides a great forum for exposing people to new ideas and for pointing out – defining – flawed assumptions and stupid cliches.
Some people will hate the art on this site. They’ll say it looks awful. But if it makes them think, if it challenges their assumptions, then it will have fulfilled our purposes. It might be their own dogmas that are awful. Everything turns on that reflection.
